New 18" BFG All Terrains for XMAS!!!

Well I was finally able to find a set of BFGoodrich All Terrains for my truck. My brother was able to get an awesome deal on them, so he got me an awesome early xmas present. They are the 286/65-18's. Let me know what you think, I just snapped a couple quick pics after getting home from washing it. A little dirty but you get the idea. :-)

Yes they do!!

How much did you shell out for them? Is the ride a bit more rough? That will be the next tires on my truck. I had them on my last truck and ended up selling it with in a month. They really change the look of the truck. Much more aggressive looking now.

Can you send Santa this way with a set of those? :santa:

Can you tell of any power loss since they are a little bigger than the stock tires.

Looks good.. My choice of tires every time.. I think the ride is smoother than stock, and Didn't notice much of a power loss. MPG went down a hair though with my 285's..

The tires didn't cost me anything, they were from :santa: , but early! I haven't noticed any harshness to the ride. The truck seems to ride smoother now.

I didn't notice any loss in power since the install, but I have only put about 10 miles on the tires. I will know tomorrow on my way to work.

We will see about the MPG at the next fillup. I do need to contact Troyer's about getting my tune updated for the new tires.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Nice, I miss those tires. Had em on my Ranger before I sold it. Looks good buddy.

I have the rugged trails...I like em

Well I gave the tires their first good drive today. 20 miles to work, and they rode great. The tires were extremely smooth, truck didn't seem to have lost power at all. My tune needs to be updated as I could tell my shifts were a little bit off.

I did not have my tires road force balanced as many insist you must do. Heck, I don't even have weights on the outside, did a Static balance, and they ride great. No nibble of vibration at all. I couldn't be happier with these tires. The truck is smoother no than before.

I’m so jealous. Those tires are sweet, especially on your truck. Mine is the same scab, true blue, FX4. I can’t wait for my Goodyear ATS to wear out. Keep us posted on the MPG change if any.

Why? Your tire size went up .52 inches. Your speedometer is 1mph fast at 2000 rpms in overdrive.

If you really can feel a difference it would be because the new tires weight more than the stock tires.

Looks great roboots! If you have an x-cal II you can correct for the tires yourself. The x-cal has a spot to enter revolutions per mile, those BFG'S are 634 (so you enter 635) rev's per mile in your x-cal II. If you had BFG Rugged Trails before they were 664 rev's per mile. I made they same swap a couple of months ago and love them. Once you enter the new data your tune will feel like it did before and the speedo/odo will be spot on. They are 33's by the way and the stock tires are 32's so you gained a full inch. Congrats!
