I have taken my truck in for the Butyl pad removal and they found rust so they are going to replace the side of the box. In KBB the Excellent rating says that "This vehicle has never had any paint or body work..." so am I to now reduce my truck to the good value because of this? that is about $1200 differance in value. Just curious about your thoughts. Thanks

 

Do you plan on selling it soon?.....if not...I would not worry....in a few years the difference between "excellent" and "good" will not be too much....

 

The reduction in value would have to be more with a rust hole in the side of the bed.
