Squeaky Seat

My warranty was just about to expire so I figured that since I was going to be at the dealer for an oil change, I would bring up the matter of the squeaky seat problem that I have had for nearly a year. The seat would squeak or creak every time I leaned back, moved or applied any pressure against the back of the seat. Really annoying. They looked it over and seemed to think that it was the bottom seat frame/track that was causing it. They ordered the part and I came in the following week and they installed the new seat track. It’s been a week now and still no squeak.

I know this topic has been talked about in the past, so I thought I would pass this information along for everyone else that has the squeaky seat.

Mine is squeaking (32,000miles)...I called the stealership and explained the problem, the lady I talked to said I should turn the radio up?! I'm bringing it in this week. The truck is so quiet that the squeaking is like someone clipping their nails in a library or something...very annoying..

so did they actually change the seat track that mounts to the floor? Mine started after they flushed my tranny and the guy that did it must have weighed 300 pounds, i figured he just flopped in the seat and broke something. Ford said it was squeaking when they got it.

I have the same issue with my 2007 F150. Thank god it's still under warranty...same deal like you guys mentioned before, driver side, left side (closest to the door towards the back of the seat) Tech guy checked out and wrote on the invoice..."Checked for squeak noise in seat. Removed side cover. While sitting on seat and rocking back and forth the noise was evident. Inspected seat while moving. Found pieces of seat pan rubbing eachother. Needs seat pan, ordered part."

Part ordered was 8L3Z-1863101-A FRAME A 357815...

They will call me when part arrives next week and drop off the car so that they can fix it... Hopefully this helps

Identical problem...

I am taking my truck in on Tuesday for the same squeaky seat issue. I mentioned the problem to a Service advisor and he reacted like he'd never heard of that issue before. It sounds like it's a fairly common issue.

I had that at ~30000 and daler addressed it, but it started again a few thousand miles later. Lamo design. I would like to be able to do some sort of fix myself.
