What would you change on your truck.

Now that these trucks have been around a while. Is there anything that you would have done different with it. I'm not talking about changing to something that's not offered in these trucks like a 6cyl diesel or a 5 speed auto. I just want to know would you order the same truck with the same options again?

For me I regret getting the flowthrough center console. I would much rather have the shifter on the colomn now. The floor console takes up so much room that could be used to put other stuff.

I also kind of wish I had got 17" rims instead of 18"s. There are so many more tires available for 17s.

I would also like to change the colour from Dark Shadow Gray to Black. My last truck was DSG too and 2 trucks in a row the same color might be too much.

Anyone else have anything they might change?

Thats funny... I have DSG as well and I love it... This is my first new vehiche though... I have 17" rims and I want to get 18"... I also wish I had the flow through sometimes because I really like the way it looks and I will never have 3 people sitting up front with me in a SCrew.

I got my running boards for free and I think they are kick ***. I am glad they sold the original truck I was going to get because it was the exact same thing minus the free running boards I got and they are genuine ford and I like those.

4x4 Would be nice to have but its not worth the cost of the upgrade or insurance to me for how often I might use it.

Otherwise I am thrilled to have gotten the truck I did with the options I got. I built the truck on Fords web site, and the local dealer (Not the PS motor a$$holes) called me 20 minuted laster and had 2. Sweet. I had to have the SCrew, 5.4, and XLT trim.

That's funny, we should trade! Just kidding! I do like the DSG but it is just getting a bit familiar for me.
I also built this truck online, but no dealers had one so I special ordered it. For me going without 4x4 was not an option. I couldn't of even made it through this past weekend with out it.
Don't get me wrong, I like my truck, but after living with it for a while there are some things I would do different.

One more thing, I like the six disc CD changer, but the subwoofer is not something I would get again.

Yeah, I had a really nice system in my last car, and I was able to use most of the expensive parts again. I had the single disc player and that didnt impress me much. Let me know if you want to get rid of those rims, I was thinking about picking some up!

costs too much to ditch the rims now. I'll just have to get whatever tires are available when the time comes.

I would have opted for steps, the gf needs them. I also would have opted for heated seats, man I really wish I had those, I'm thinking about custom installing them.

I wish I would have got the Audiophile sound system and I will agree with the others that the Floor Shift takes up WAY too much room I wish I would have got the Flow through Console and the Column shift. 18 Inch tires are a bit more expensive but they look good. I also wish I had got the heated seats because those leather seats are damn cold in the winter time.

i wish ford had the forsight to put on Light truck tires, not P rated Hancooks...I wish the f-150 still had the compass temp pod over the rear view mirrior..I wish Ford had kept the reg cab lay out in the 97-03..doors are two small..on the 04 reg cab..Ford radios take up too much room in the dash..

On my current truck, I'd add reverse sensing.

I wish a monotone option with body colored front and rear bumpers and door handles was available on Lariats.

Add a button to go forward or backward with CD tracks and radio presets with the standard assortment of steering wheel controls. The Lincoln LS/T-Bird has this. A mute button on the steering wheel would be nice too.

I think that'd bout do it for me.

I wish I had gotten the Audiophile and the DVD system. If I were ordering again, I'd opt out on the pwr rear slider, its had some issues and still rattles when the weather is cold.

Things that were available that I would have added or deleted from my current truck:

Nothing.

Things I would have added had they been available for my current truck:

* The flow-through center console with shifter on a regular cab truck.
* An audiophile sound system on a regular cab truck.
* A leather-wrapped steering wheel (and possibly leather seats) on a regular cab truck.
* Power folding mirrors on a XLT regular cab truck.

That's about it!

The factory fog lights and the stereo controls on the steering wheel. I would have gone away from the sunroof, but love the power rear slider. Other than that, I would keep it the same.

Woof

I'm pretty sure I've seen regular cabs with the Audiophile.
