I'd never get these, but would like to see them in black.

Am I mistaken, or can't you just buy direct replacement taillight bulbs that are LED's?

Close, but these have the tumor type thing at the bottom.

The one thing I've noticed about aftermarket LEDs is they don't light up like luxury stock LEDs. Has anyone seen the Infiniti FX35/45? That is how I want my LED tailights to light up, very bright and straight lines.

The black version of those lights don't look too bad. Are they a deep red or is that black? Any pics of them lit up?

Yes you can, but I did it and they came right back out because thier output is not adequate. I got a set of LED dial brightness 3157's with 6 LED's that reflected back in the reflector and popped them in the tailight and normally on they look great, but brake light had very little change and weren't bright at all. And for the one that said that clear lights are illegal....the LED's aren't clear, they light up red when active and are clear when off.

These are a set that stylin concepts sells that look exactly like stockers but have an LED array in place of the taillight/brake light and will be a lot brighter than one of those LED replacement bulbs.

2nd - how else was Toyota allowed to use the "clear" LED tail lights on the RX330?

I'm not sure you checked that link or not, but the picture that comes up does not have the "tumor" like you think. APC makes led tails for these trucks that resemble the stockers. A company called IPCW makes the light with the tumor.

I'd like to have black OEMs, what Ford really should have done for the 06 Harley. Like these, but with the stock top half:

APC has the tumor. I have a set in the garage to prove it.
