Whole different mounting, the actual bumper is 1in longer in height and covers the crash frame rails on 4x4 (open lower valance holes) vehicles now. It will bolt up to the stock points, but you will need the brackets and small side brackets. The bolts are also smaller, but i forced them in because i wanted this SOB on. In my opinion the MY06 bumper looks weaker, but it looks better
