sorry about your accident! it does suck! i just got mine back after 6 weeks with out it. almost every panel on the truck needed replacement, and the right front took most of the hit on mine. damage was 13k and that was way lower then the 70% to totall it. so far mine drives like it did before, the shop did a fantastic job all in all. just have an fx4 with a honeycomb grill now! LOL also painted the body moulding under the headlights grey and not body color (red). these issues are being taken care of.....so good luck and let us know how you make out.
oh, my airbags never deployed either. are hit wasn't a direct frontal impact, and not a hair on my or my wifes head moved! pics in my signature for those that are curious. if it is close to being totalled your agent hopefully will find anything else to put it over the top. they are built ford tough my friends!!!

Look in my gallery, I've been hit by an airbag in a Chevy Lumina, they don't really hurt, suck it up, lol. I honestly don't remember being in much pain after that accident, but it was one of the most scariest things I've been through.

My gf has too, never said a lick about the airbags hurting.

All the mods I had done could easily be removed and put on another F150. (Autospring, Wheels/Tires, Grill, Headlight and Tailight covers, Exhaust system)

It looks really good.

...for a car wreck, if you ask me. Both vehicles (look in my gallery, once again), folded up like a tin can where as your truck just bent a little bit. I feel really safe driving this truck, and thats a bad thing. I don't want to live if I wreck my baby, that means bills! (I have liability)

Sorry to hear about your truck and I'm glad you were able to let us know you were ok, I'm sure there have been people who have wrecked and were never able to come back here and post about it.

Thump, you there?...THUUUUUUUMPPPPPERRRRRRRR.....you there bud?

Anyways, let us know what happens with the insurance companies, you deserve more than a new truck, hope you get that.

Sorry to hear about your truck man, that sux! I must say though, that really isn't bad damage for that kind of wreck. Figure new hood, front fenders, bumper etc and you're good to go. Doesn't look like any frame damage could have occured. These things are TANKS!!

Ford tough in my opinion! Some new sheet metal and your good to go! Assuming, of course MPI doesn't decide to write it off.

Update:

I went to the dealership today to see the truck, and they had pretty much the entire front end off of it. The body shop guy said that the whole front end was bent from left to right. They weren't sure yet if the front frame would have to be straitened.

My truck was sitting there with no front end at all! Just a moter and rad. Also, the upper control arm and spindle are bent on the driver side. The wheel/tire is crooked.

As for damage, it was estimated at $7000, but the body shop guy said it would probally climb higher as they find more stuff wrong and need to order more parts. I'm guessing by the time everything is finished, parts alone will be $8000 - 8500. Then a few grand more for the labour.

Some good news is that my Insurance will cover my Billet Grill. Also, i should have my truck back in about 2 weeks.... (hopefully)

Frame straightened?
I personally would not want a "straightened frame"
In my accident they replaced the frame. Shipped it out from Detroit.

I think its just the two front frame rails that the tow hooks are attached to. I don't really know as of yet. I'll know more in a few days.

Knowing me, I'll probally be at the bodyshop daily to keep tabs on the truck!

Ford sells the 2 front frame extensions. Maybe those will fix you up. I am fixing a wreck bought at salvage. Mine was hit so hard that we needed a front frame cut from another truck at the towers, and grafted on.
