Flash me!

Just got the truck back from the dealer who flashed the PCM to the latest calibration file, and HOT DAMN what a difference.

Around every corner I seem to squeel the tires, and I can even light em up from a dead stop now! The response is instant and it seems less pedal is required to move it.

Well worth the 2 days it spent there, I guess

My dealer wouldn't flash my PCM under warranty. They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I ended up buying the Superchips 1714. It's amazing what a difference it has made.

What did you ask for when you were there?

I'm taking my truck in next week to have a couple small things done and want to ask them about it.

I'm wondering if I should take my fx4 in. I've only had it a few weeks, but it seems very sluggish on take off and sort of hesitates when you tromp on the gas. WTF is up with that? I thought the 5.4 was the one with the power? Can't seem to get out of my own way right now. I just thought it was because it was still breaking in.

No offense but I always get a kick of the people who complain about their power, I mean didn't you test drive it?

But who cares when a free reflash might give it some more...

. . . than go get it reflashed. Why complain about it here? Everyone already knows how bad of a throttle lag these trucks have, its nothing new.

I don't believe I've complained anywhere on this board about Throttle Lag... I just want to get the most up to day reflash since they might have one for my truck.

Sorry, I didn't mean about you. I just meant in general.

Back on topic though, my truck was reflashed and it was great for a few months but than it resorted back to its old habits.

It'll calm down in a week or two though. However, it won't go back to where it was before. Just definitely won't ever be like it was right after the reflash. After the reflash I almost crapped myself it was SO much faster. But it's sense gone back to being happy go lucky ho hum.

I wonder if a troyer performance tune is like what it is like after a ford reflash, but all the time instead?
