I may have a problem. When I turn the **** to 4x4 high the light in the dash comes on. When I turn the **** to 4x4 low it does not. I know it's not the bulb because it lights up when I start the engine. What could be the problem. It doesn't even feel like it is in 4x4 low (I bought it used and don't know how it should feel). Should I take it to Ford since it's still under warranty?

When you switch to 4lo, are you stopped, in neutral, with your foot on the brake? If not, it will never go into 4lo.
Do you have an owners manual? If not go to www.motorcraftservice.com and the "owners section". You can download a manual in PDF format there.

 

you are not following the right procedure to put it in 4low. you have to come to a complete stop and put it in nutral and then switch it to 4low. it will not go into 4low if you do not follow that procedure.
