Alignment--How long should it take?
I was chatting with this guy at Performance Tire&Wheel here in Denver about putting on a leveling kit for me. During this chat he told me the alignment itself will take 1.5 hours to perform. Is that right? It sounded very exaggerated to me. Am I wrong?
That sounds about right for the labor time of it. How long it takes actually? I dunno, depends on how good the wrench is I guess, and whether or not they run into any snags during the alignment. Could be anywhere from half an hour to a couple hours.

Hope that was for a life time alignment I thought L.A. was the only place they Fcuked you on Auto service
1 1/2 hours sounds right to me I've had about 15 or more alignments on three Diffrent 04 F-150's
I had my alignment done on my 2wd earlier this year. A reputable tire shop where I've purchased before. From the time the mechanic pulled my truck onto the rack, it was about an hour. Very complicated machines compared to the alignment machine my father had in his service station 25 years ago.

Apples and Bannanas in this thread. A normal alignment with stock numbers to punch into the machine takes about twenty-thirty minutes, including the helper driving it onto the Bear while the tech gets coffee.
That has ZiP to do with an alignment after a lift, lowering, oversize tires. On that one there is no stock calibration to key in. You set it up for a generic set of numbers, about ten-twenty minutes, then you pull it off and check a few things, pull it back on and re adjust, road test, and possibly do it all again. 80-100 minutes including two road tests.
When your truck is modded, it takes a touch longer and everything will cost more. You are asking the guy that runs the alignment rack to warranty the mod.
