Well took mine in today for a reflash, my truck is a 4/05 build truck. He checked for updated calibrations for the PCM and said that the one I had was the most recent. He was pretty cool about it and we talked about it for a bit. He wrote down my calibration:5L3A-12A650-CFB. Im guessing that this is the most recent for a 05 Scab 5.4 3.73 truck. He said resetting the KAM had alot to do with power because it adjusts based on how we drive. I really babied mine since Ive gotten it, but now that the KAM is resent I am able to allow new fuel/timing curves to be set based on driving habits. I know this is all part of the adaptive features of the PCM. I really just want to be able to break the tires loose lol. Anyway, thought Id share.

reprogrammed pcm per TSB 05-19- 01 and i took in the newest TSB he said he didnt need it so i dont know if its because they didnt have the newest flash or maybe my build date was after 5/13. i cant rememer . BUT its ALOT better, also got my 3rd brake light redone. told them when it rained it smelled like water in the cab, which it did. he said he will look into it,. well i get it back he didnt say anything and i get this book back from the cashier. Well i was right they replaced all my carpet and the back sea. sanded down and repainted the rear seat harness due to rust from the rain.. gonna keep an eye on this. thx for the help. guys..

Nothing I can think of offhand. Maybe new tear tag numbers, I'm not sure.

PCM Update for 2/2005 F150 supercrew

I just got the following PCM update performed yesterday.

563A-12A650-CNB.

The truck feels much more responsive now like it is riding in the "meat" of the powerband. My question whether this PCM module "learns" the way you drive and will adapt itself accordingly. I would hate to have the truck relearn its old ways and dumb down to a slower truck.

thanks for any info!
