now that it is oct 3 and supposedly the end of the family value eemployee incentives what will the new discount program be? if ford or the other manufacturers think the public will ever take the msrp sticker serious again they are smoking something other than tires. it will be interesting to see what they come up with next. my bet is not a car or turck rolls off the lot until they come up with something.

I like that "they are smoking something other than tires".

The incentives better be good on the trucks. With the national average price of 87 octane at $2.90/ gallon, the trucks aren't going to sell themselves anymore.

Agreed. I contacted all dealerships in a three-city area three or four times per year for two years looking for "my truck at my price." No one budged until family pricing and '05 rebates. I'll do the same next time. Won't pay within $10k of sticker prices as they sit now, and even less if they continue the trend of jacking them up way beyond inflation every year. (I wish they had one of these little yellow guys pumping his right arm up in the air with his left hand over the bicept! ). Close enough.

You, apparently, haven't been shopping for a Mustang GT lately!

My inability to swing anything less than MSRP on a new V8 'Stang (people are willingly paying sticker + for this car) led directly to me buying my F-150 instead!
