Just changed my wheels to chrome 22". They look great, handle turns even better, but acceleration is pretty bad with my 3.55 gears. Should I change the gears in back to something like a 4.10 or 4.56, or should I wait and the future add a Supercharger and maintain the 3.55? BTW, I live in Hawaii with lots of stop and go traffic.

Hell, if you have 5K to drop on an s/c then why not spend the extra $1500 or whatever and get the gears too?

If your not worried about speed and just want more pep in the stop-and-go, the gears are the cheaper no-brainer choice.

Get gears, if there is stop and go traffic where are you going to use all the power ? And gears might increase your mpg because of less work on the powertrain.

 

Gears!!! You will feel them more in stop and go. they will help mileage in stop and go. They will be cheaper. They will make the supercharger that much better when you get it...

Superchargers are for trucks at the track. Gears are for power where you want/need it.

What gears are recommended for 22" wheels?
I have the 3:73 Limited Slip from the factory and its kind of sluggish but slams hard into 2nd and pulls STRONG from there. But 1st is probably sluggish compared to the 3:55's

 

It's not so much the 22 inches, it's the overall diameter. What size are the tires?

For stock 30 inch Ford recommends 3.55. For stock 32 inch most have 3.73.
If you do the math, that's the same gearing...
So how big are your tires?

Oops, saw your sig. Lets see, your tires are 12 inches across x .40 for 4.8 inches tall x 2 9.6 inches of rubber and 22.0 inches of rim for 32.6 inches plus any 'aggressive' tread or others. So you are only undergearing by a little.
Of course different brands equal different size tires by a bit.

 

Tire rack puts the nine or so brands they offer at 31.6 mostly. That is only a little bit taller than the stock tires. Sounds like tire weight might be what you are feeling.
Just going to 4.10 would bring you up to par.
4.36 would feel nice.
4.56 is a little on the low geared side.
Still, I think any of the three would do you.

 

I Say do the gear's

 

I am assuming you have a 4x2 and it won't cost $1500 as they only have to do the rear gears.

Also, anyone know of any good Ring & Pinion kits to regear, I know someone who has done this and mentioned it's not too hard provided you have the tools, he did front and rear for only $400 including tools.
