Sweet! Cant wait to put mine in! Nice to see it with the chrome surround. Looks really sharp. Any install tips or is it a typical grill swap? You going to get the headlights too?

Later,

Luis S

It's just a grille swap, nothing fancy, it comes with a raw plastic grille surround if you want the painted look. I'm keeping my chromed headlights, I personally like the chromed out look on the front. My future plans are to add the lincoln half chrome mirrors, or just 1/2 caps and I'd like to put on chrome nerf bars from a supercrew. I want to use the supercrew bars because they are a little longer than the Scab and will almost go wheel to wheel when installed. Another wish list item that I'm thinking about is a set of the new 20" rims, but I'm going to have them chromed or polished and clearcoated before installing them. My other option would be to go with the chromed 18" lariat wheels from the 06. I saw a set of those and they look nice.

Have a question though. Is the surround and grill portion 2 separate pieces? I have the black surround, so could I just buy the grill portion and snap/fit it in to my black surround and call it a day?

Looks awesome! I posted earlier about trying to find one of these but they didnt offer them at the dealerships yet.i will order mine next time i head up to the dealership... just out of curiosity, how much did it run ya? Also, since you already have it, do you think the black plastic surrounding on the grille could be painted or would it even be worth it? Cant really tell from the pics.

FX4&EXCURSION:
I believe the surround and the grille are 2 sep. pieces. Just like any other grill install, pop out the honecomb/6 pc grille and pop in the new one. just a few bolts. Relatively simple install.

Should have asked this too earlier but just remembered, do you reuse the Blue Oval or does the grill come with a new one? That grill would look great on my truck along with those headlights too. Im too lazy to search, anyone have a part number just for the grill portion? Thanks, you guys rock.
