Sorry...your wrong. I said bottom line revenue. Profit put on the books after expenses still goes to the Nissan Motor Corporation, a Japanese company. In other words the money LEAVES the US and goes to JAPAN. Spin it how ever you want, but the facts remain buying a Japanese branded car (they are still called imports for a reason) is sending money out of the country.

I'll be the first to say that I ONLY buy American made vehicles, however I have driven a few Titans and while they are sort of plasticky and cheap on the inside (but compared to the F-150's most other trucks are ), the Titan with the 5.6 will eat a 5.3 GM or 5.4 Ford for lunch.

They're called imports because it's a name that stuck for a class of vehicles. Just like the F250 is called a 3/4 ton even though it hauls/tows almost double that. Mercedes, BMW, SAAB, Volvo are imports as well although rarely are they called that. These "imports" are designed and built in North America by North American workers. The money made by those products stays here to fund operations here.

On topic please... the topic is the handle cover... that's it.

Anything that is TITAN-based, as most here know, gets snubbed in short order... Doesn't look like this one has a bright future either.

Um, according to the local dealership (guy there used to work for me, still a good friend) they go for very close to list. They don't talk down much, as the usual sucker.. um I mean buyer, will pay what they ask.
They actually mark up certain models and sell them over list.
The buying public is affected by the 'halo' effect on Jap stuff.
Sad but true.
Don't care where it is made, look at the price difference between Chevy marked Toyotas and Toyota marked Corollas, or Vitaras Vs. Trackers. I think the Suzuki's are the funniest. The American ones are made in Canada. The Japanese ones are made in Canada...
But on driver reviews, and editor reviews, the ones with the Jap logos always rate better...

What's funny is that the Japanese and Chinese are spending all of their money buying American debt. Since Americans would rather buy now and pay later, the foreign investors are now getting rich on our finance charges.
