I'd like to know if they fit right into a bracket already supplied or if there is some major mod work to do before installing. If anyone has pics of this mod I'd love to see them.

Cut holes.

I dunno, I've never had to install any. That will work, right?

When I was looking to add fog lights to my truck, the only lights that were street legal and put out a worth while amount of light were fairly expensive. Plus, I'd have to figure out where to mount them and then fabricate some type of mount for them. I pondered this for a few months but could never come up with an idea that I liked. I thought about behind the grille and went out several times and popped the hood to look for mounting ideas. I was never crazy about any options I came up with there. I thought about the GAP like the SD's have. I never found any good lights that I liked that would fit in there. I decided to just go w/ a Lariat chrome bumper and stock fogs. I got the bumper and fogs off of ebay and wired it using a relay for the fogs to come on when my parking lamps are on. I used the silverstar 9005 bulbs in the fogs and they are great.

If you're looking for truly good driving / fog lights, they're not cheap. If you're just looking for something to stick on the front somewhere to say you have lights, Wal Mart is your oyster.

I'm looking to put the SD square foglights in, but because I'm mechanically challenged, just was wondering if this was a simple plug and play type install or if it needed major modifications to make it work.

I had foglights just like this I installed on my 02, they were horrible. They were yellowish, very yellowish and had a purple haze when off, they hardly made a difference and do NOT qualify as foglights in my book, did nothing in the fog, too small to do anything, no lighting power. Mine were a bit different than yours I'm sure but they look the same. Those lights were demolished when I rammed into the ground over a drop in a park I was fartin around in, almost bent my frame, about 2 feet of packed dirt went into the frame (it's hollow) but it didn't bend, we hit it REALLY hard, a truck full of people, didn't see the drop, it was a sewer vent of some sort. I installed a new valance, cost me like $270.
