Sylvania Xtravision H13/9008 headlights installed (pics)

Hey folks,

I decided to try the Sylvania Xtravision H13/9008 headlights and here are some pics. They do seem a bit brighter (not as white as the Silverstars, however), and the cut-off does seem more precise. Haven't driven with them yet at night, so I will follow up with a report on how they look on a normal road tomorrow. Unfortunately I do not have any "before" pics, but I know there are some lurking around here somewhere and they will essentially be the same as mine would be, so search away!

Looks like a good white light.

How much did those cost and where did you get them?

I picked them up at my local AutoZone as a simple eBay search for them yielded NO results.

Check Sylvania's website for local shops who carry them, call 'em up, and ask for Sylvania Xtravision H13s as I asked for the 9008s and the guy said they didn't have them (they only say H13 on the package).

They're not the cheapest things in the world, but I am happy with them so far.

Well, after driving in complete darkness last night, I must say that they are much whiter than stock. Visibility seemed farther out and around, and brighter as well.

They're not SilverStars, but they are darn close.

I think I'll wait for the silverstars to come out.

Any 'complaints' from passing drivers?

Not yet, but also consider they have only been in for about 36 hours now! I did, however, get a few flashes from oncoming drivers with my stock low-beams on, so time will tell... :coffee:

I had silverstars in my 02 lariat. I really honestly could not tell a difference.

I had silverstars in my 02 and did not think they were worth the money. If my headlights were to burn out, I would probably get silverstars as replacements, but I will not buy them unless my factory bulbs burn out first.

The 02 headlight housing wasn't clear like in the new trucks. It had that textured look. It makes a bid difference.
