Nice truck!! Mine is plain white with some subtle stripes added to break up the plain sides. (It wasn't two toned from the factory) First Ford since 1971!!!

Nice mod... like many though, my warning is my reverse sensing system going bonkers because it senses the tailgate.

Nice, but I believe the reverse parking sensor system (if you happen to have it) has this built in, maybe unintentionally though not sure. I couldn't figure out why my backup system was being so retarded the other day, it's because the retard owner (me) left the tailgate down and was backing up. LOL.

But you've got part of it now I'm not sure if it's wired to the tailgate being down, or just the fact the tailgate being down is throwing the sensors off and thinking I did or am about to hit something, but it works out well. Nice mod...is the light bright enough to notice in daylight?

dont rag on my LED, it took forver to mount that there, if youve ever looked at the back of that panel youll know why. the LED is pretty bright, and it has a built in flasher, i think i paid about $5 for the LED and $5 for the switch, a little wire and an hour or 2 and youre done

Its a little late now but how about mounting it on the pillar?

I would like to do this mod. Did you just pull the power off a switched source?

Jeff

hmm i had never thought about the pillar, i still could do that. the door jamb switch goes on the ground circuit, so i wired the LED + to constant 12v and the ground to the door jamb switch, which is self grounding.
