I would say remove the silencer out of your intake, just look for the thread around here for that. then i would either get exhaust and or buy a superchips tuner if you want performance, i have one for sale alot cheaper than where you can buy it in stores or online. if you would like info on it just e-mail me at CO_Malone898@hotmail.com, welcome and happy modding.

I'd say level it. If you want to go higher, get the autospring or daystar 2.5" front leveling kit, if you want it lower, get some lowering shackles. Check my gallery, I went with the 2.5" front lift, I really like the look of our trucks leveled off! Beware though, once you start adding mods, its like an addiction, you can't stop.

First Mod to do would be a K&N filter, then cut off that garbage can muffler and put on something a little more free flowing. I would defiantly pull out the silencer in the intake, it is free to do and took me all of five minutes!

Well Iv had my truck for about 2 weeks and the first thing I did was buy a smaller antenna, then changed the front turn signal buld from yellow to the blue bulbs that light white. The biggest thing so far would be my TINT. I love it I went with 15% in the front and limo in the back and it looks sweet. Next will be my 22's then either level or lower not sure but will know after I put the rims on, then for sure exaust. Oh and my system is going in next week. MOD ON!

What is this silencer you guys keep referring to? What does it do? And why is it better to remove it?

What is the silencer you pull out. I thought the silencers were the chambers on the side of the intak tube and had to be cut off. I have done a search on this and was unable to find out anything that was easily removed, except on earlier models. Thanks

Do a search for "2005 4.6L Silencer Removed - What A Difference!" (its actually like the second page of this forum, still pretty fresh) I believe that is what Juggernaut_150 is referring too.

A blower.

Just kidding. A cold air setup of some type or another, or ditching the silencer would be a good start. Exhaust and a tuner further on down the road. I think rear lowering shackles provide the biggest asthetic improvement, aside from new wheels or something. Just be warned, modding becomes a disease...or it's almost like those potato chips, can't eat just one...or do just one mod.

All the mods I have done so far are for looks. I did the 2.5" levelling kit on the front and put 20" rims with 33" tires. Now that the truck looks the way I want, I plan on doing a cold air intake, exhaust, and SC Tuner. Once I have those done, I will probably start thinking about a new double-din head unit with nav and dvd.

That chip is a joke and those throttle body spacers do nothing but give you a whistle sound.

That's not a bad deal on the exhaust. The other two are wastes of money.
