black rims for our trucks?

I have been searching for black rims for my truck. I know alot of you like chrome but I like black and thinkit would look better on my truck sense there is almost no chrome on my truck all red and black. I did search this site and seen a few but not much. anybody have or have found some nice looking black rims for our trucks. I want 17 inch rims because all the tires for the 18's are more expensive. the best looking one's I have found so far is the is pictured here:

I like these but I dont like the 4.5 inch back spaceing would prefer 5.5 inch back spaceing so they don't stick out so far. I was going to get me a set of helo black maxx 6's but found out the 17's didn't fit our trucks. so I am searching arround. any help would be great thanks.

Thought of getting my 18" stock FX4 wheels power coated. Black wheels are the only way to go.

Im looking to get black 22's with a chrome lip on my white truck, those 17's are just too small, you might as well powedercoat what you got now bc its not gonna be much diffrence.

I don't think those rims look like stock I think they look much nicer. thats one big diffrennce there. and they will be wider so I can be comfortable going to bigger tires in the future if I decide too that is another differance. plus I don't like the look of 20+ inch rims with that low profile look. I think that might be ok for a sports car but it looks cheesy on a truck. I know I will probably catch hell over that statement because the big rim thing is "in". but I just don't like the look on a truck. thats my personal taste. pluss those huge rims and the tires to go on them cost a arm and a leg. I'd rather keep my arm and leg and have a decent looking truck.

I will also be getting some all black rims soon. I plan on getting Demoda intimidators. look on www.customwheelsdirect.com they have a large selection of black wheels. But, I think alot of the ones they carry are 20"+. I have researched the hell out of the black rims... But i am using a dial up right now and i dont feel like posting all the pictures and links. But, i will get back to this after the weekend and post up some stuff.

You can do black AND chrome like my 20s ...AND they're not low profile. My ride height is stock.

nice looking rims fourpointsix bit it is a low profile tire you got on it. any thing smaller than a 35 inch tire will look low profile on a 20 inch rim. I do like the look of that rim though I think I will look and see if they make a 17 inch rim like that with a 5.5 inch backspaceing. thanks.

I got to agree on the black wheel thing.

The ones I found that I like that are a *decent* price are the Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys #8089 from 4WheelParts.com.

They have a polished lip, which I can live with because I hate the factory (chrome steels) I have and really want black.

Of my trucks the only one I like the polished alumnium rims on is my ranger. Thats because its green and the silver tones of the wheels work well with the green. Next spring the truck will be black so its getting black 18"s

heres a link to the mojava specs. in case you are interested I think they are ok but not what I am looking for. I guess everyone has there own taste. those rims also have the 4.5 inch back spaceing. so they will stick out too. the 17 inch are not so bad because they are only a 8 inch rim. but the 18's are a 9.5 inch rim and will stick out like 3 inches further than the stock rims do.

I dont know how to add pics but if you search customwheelsdirect.com check out the wheels by Konig. I am considering the black OpenRoads and the NoRoads in 18". They are nice looking and good price.

I have a set of Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys #8089 on my truck and really like them. I ordered mine from 4wheelcustoms.com and they were cheaper than 4wheelparts.com. I think they have them on sale now for about 135.00 each. I have a couple of pics in my gallery.

The rims I have look black at first but are a very dark grey. They're Victor series from American Racing. I really like the teflon coating, dirt, grime and brake dust just wipe right off.

Check out my gallery for some pics
