Du-ha Storage?

Does anyone have the DU-HA storage compartment that goes under the rear seat? If so, do you think that it is worth the money? Also, is there any other place to buy one besides the company website?

Thanks...

I believe that kd4crs has this unit. You might check with him...

I have one and I love it. There are many other sites that sell them. If you shop around you should be able to pick one up on sale.

KD:

Every ad that I have seen makes the DU-HA look very cheap....yet it is $250+....my question to you is how well does it fit with the stock truck asthetically? I would hate to throw that kind of money at a mod that makes my $30k truck look like $10....

$180 bucks is a lot of cake for a plastic bin.

This would be a good mod to fabricate something yourself. Maybe a three sided ¼” plywood frame covered with speaker carpet

That is what I have been thinking...then I was gonna line the inside with Line-X...my rough draft plans call for about $80 worth of material....now I just have to find the time...

The pictures don't do the unit justice. I thought it looked cheap and flimsy before my wife bought it for me. The DU-HA is molded to fit around all the useable space under the rear seat. It is made of thick heavy plastic, about 1/4" thick. It is expensive but in this case you do get what you pay for. Here are the search results for DU-HA: Thread 1

They have it for 149 - 159 but ships from manufacture and takes 3 - 5 weeks

I looked at the Du-Ha storage bin, but just couldn't bring myself to spend $200. I opted to use a couple of Sterilite storage baskets from my local Wally-mart. Now, I don't have to raise my seat up. I just pull the basket out and pick out whatever I need. I keep ratchet straps, a maglite, jumper cables, towels, etc... under the seat.

I made my own, total cost was about $30 after wood, metal brackets, and carpet.

Not totally professional looking, but a lot cheaper
