Want to install 35's with only a 2.5" levelling kit...
I would like to install 35x13.5x20 tires on 20x10 rims onto my truck with a 2.5" Autospring levelling kit. Is it possible? What other modifications are necessary? Where will they rub? Who else has tried 35's with only a levelling kit? I don't want to raise the truck until the warranty is up, which should be in about 4 years (I have the 5 year warranty and I have only put 10,000 miles on the truck in 14 months). I also want to be able to get the truck into my garage, which has a 7' door. I tried the search, but really could't find anyone with this setup. Thanks in advance.

Is NOT going to happen. It however will work on stock wheels but it'll rub on full lock. Soon as you get different rims the biggest you can go is a 33 pretty much, sorry bud.

A few guys have done it with a little rubbing. Possible, but not exactly a perfect fit...

So, on the stock rims, I can run 35's, but with aftermarket rims, which are wider, it won't work? Is this due to offset or backspacing? If so, is the problem caused by the inside edge or the outside edge of the tire rubbing? I guess I need a 4" lift minimun, right?

I think it depends on your wheels/tires really, plus backspacing, etc...
This guy did it and loved it.. then tried to sell the combo later.. |

I put the autospring 2.5 inch level kit on and got new Helo Max 6 rims 18x9 and got the M/T ATZ 325/60/18's and they even rub a bit at full ****ed. They rub on the frame rail on the back part of the wheel. back spacing is 4.5 I believe.

There are several wheels out that will let you do what you want to do. Whether your favorite wheel is one of them becomes the real issue. BTW: my 34.4" tires allow me to park in my garage... |

I have an 04 FX4 Supercrew with a 2.5" autospring installed and I am running 315/75-17 (35X12.5) BFG AT tires on 17x8 Mb Motoring rims with a 5" backspace and I have zero rubbing at either lock. I don't go offroad so that is not an issue, but with normal day to day usage I get no rubbing at all.
