Installed Stull billet grill....
I installed the polished Stull billet grill yesterday ( full replacement) in my '04 Supercrew. I don't care much for the engineering of it, but like the completed look.
Now for the kicker. I saved the original hood emblem from my '65 F-100 when I restored it and happened to hold it up to the middle of the new grill yesterday just to see how it looked, and I liked it.
If you have never seen one, it has a large "V" with an "8" in the middle of it and there is a row of 5 stars above the "V". It is shaped like the grill opening
except it has "sharp" not rounded corners.
The background is red, but if I use it I will paint this area wedgewood blue to match the truck. The chrome is very weathered (cracked but not peeled) but other than that it is in nice condition.I will not get it re-chromed..
I sort of want to install it but am a little uncertin as to how it will effect the looks of the truck. Some will probably think it looks "Hoopy" but I like it.
Any thoughts?
