Scheduled Maintenance - Ford Techs.
I have several questions in regards to the scheduled maintenance guide that came with the truck.
1. Do these trucks have a cabin air filter?
2. When should the transimission fluid be changed?
3. I know the radiator coolant is 100k, but should it not be changed earlier?
4. What not mentioned in the guide should I be doing or doing
more often to keep this truck in top shape?
Thanks for any help.

Go to www.ford.com. Click on Vehile Services then click owners then my vehicle. Input your info. It will tell you what is due and at how many miles... Had my Trans and Radiator flushed at 40,000.

Did the ford site tell you to do this?
1. No.
2. I'd go every 30K. Fluid and filters are cheap. Overhauls and new transmissions aren't.
3. I'd say once every two years or so. Coolant is cheap.
4. Nothing, really. Regular services, don't beat on it too hard, and your truck will give you all it can.

Don't forget to flush the brakes and power steering every 12-18 months or so. This will ensure that you get maximum life out of that EXPENSIVE rack and pinion. The brake flush will keep all the critical parts of the system in top shape as well. Brake fluid absorbs moisture, and that moisture will corrode the system from the inside out, it can also create problems with the ABS control module.

It's done like that for the dealers. Generally 5 quarts is included as part of the oil change, anything needed above that cost's extra.
Yeah I figured it may be something like that, more than 5 is usually extra. Lol I like what you have in your signature..whenches, not chopsticks..maybe that's what's happening with Toyota.
