Help deciding on new Exaust, Input please
Ok Guys and Gals, I am fixing to order my new exaust, I am torn on which to get, I am chosing between the Magnaflow model 16616 or the 16612, I .ike the 16616 that exits with duel tips in front of the back rear tire, But I am wondering if it will have enough clearence with the factory running bars that I have, So That why I am considering the si/so out the back, I need help deciding so everyone please give me there input.

The dual side exit should clear with no problems. I have the factory black platform bars on mine.

Yours are different from mine, I think that mine go back another inch or so, Maybe more, I am not sure if you can see from the picture I have on my signature. Do you have a side profile shot that I could see, It might would help, I really like that set up but don't want to order it then have to cut my running bars to make it fit.

this is the only other picture I got, the tips are dirty in this pic and hard to see. but I have about 4.5" gap between the steps and tips.

If your looking to exit in front of the tires just take your truck to the local exhaust shop and save yourself some time and money. All it take is one bend and about 3' of pipe, took less than half an hour. I was going to have a flowmaster put on but went with no muffler at all. I had the guy fire it up with just the cats and it's not very loud at all, more of a throaty rumble.

BlkSuperCrew without using a muffler did you get a Check Engine light?

More poo with the SISO.

You shouldn't have a problem clearing the running boards. All of the running boards are designed to stop before the bed and the tips will be under the bed, not the cab.
|
By the way, right after you have picked up your truck upon completion make sure that the exhaust is not rubbing against any cables or wires underneath the truck. Learn from my mistake and check that right away to save you time/money!

No, that didn't cause a check intake light, but my air intake did untill I got the Xcal2 tuner.
