Silver Turn Signal Bulbs *Pics Added*

I ordered the ones that were suggested from another poster on eBay. But when they came today and I read the back, it says that they are illegal for use on the street and are only for use in shows and off road.

The auction CLEARLY says in big, black bold type that these bulbs are DOT approved. But 3 different times listed on the packaging, they say it isnt.

So is this just a general warning that is on aftermarket products or are they really not legal?

It wouldnt be such a big deal but Florida passed a law that you must use your turn signal every time you change lanes and if not you will get pulled over and receive a $75+ ticket. So now the cops are going to be looking for turn signals and I def dont want to get pulled over for illegal equipment.

Any info guys?

almost all aftermarket/custom parts have that warning. Did you buy the ones that are clear but light up amber? If so, did you install them yet? If not, go install them and see how well they light up. You shouldn't have no problems from the cops. I'm happy with my bulbs, they look great!

As long as they are amber when they flash, I believe they are legal. If these are the bulbs I am thinking of, I think they are perfectly legal. If you turn on your signal, and the cop can see yellow in the front, and red in the back, you are good to go.

Those do look really cool BTW

Mine are DOT approved ... bought from ProStreetLighting on ebay. Silver (not blue-ish) when off and amber when on.

Gordo, those are the ones I bought. The glass is chrome colored (the packaging says TITANIUM. I just didnt know if the warning was just something they put on everything or if it was true.

So any of you strong, straping men want to tell me exactly how I do this install? The fiance is on the tugboat right now and Id like to get them in before tonight.

I havent even gone and looked but I figured I have no shame in askin'.

I may be wrong but I think that there is enough space to just get them out by hand and not taking anything apart. Put them back in and your good to go. If I can remember right.

Im back.

Ok, I took a few pics with the camera phone. It was overcast and rainy, so this is the best it gets as of now. Anyways, here they are.

BEFORE

AFTER

And trust me, when they light up, you would NEVER EVER think they were anything but a stock amber bulbs.

Quick, cheap, and easy. Isnt that how everyone likes it?

Makes a nice impact too I think.
