I'm new
 

:wave: Hey all, I'm brand new to this board and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Denise and I'm from Sacramento, CA. I have a 2004 F150 Supercrew FX4 and I LOVE it. Never thought I'd say that about a Ford as I've always been a Chevy & Toyota fan.

I've done both extremes with trucks. I started off buying my first truck, an '87 Toyota 2wd and lowered it (I swear it was cool back in the day). A couple of years later sold it and bought an '84 Toyota 4x4 and lifted it. I'm definitely a 4wheelin' kinda chick.

Anyway, not going to bore you anymore with my chatter but wanted to warn y'all that I may be asking a lot of questions and probably really stupid ones. I'm pretty savvy when it comes to old school vehicles (straight axel, carb.... etc) but when it gets to this new computer crap, I know NADA! So any advice you guys can offer is going to be GREATLY appreciated!

Oh come on D, she does mention her 04 SCrew FX4. I think you're just miffed that she has an FX4, and not a Lariat.

Welcome Denise. FX4's are the bomb! This forum and the General Discussion forum are the best places on the web for 04-05 F150 owners. This forum (04-05) is an outstanding resource for info on your truck. I encourage you to use the search button for most tech questions. We like pictures too, so when you get your gallery set up, be sure to link it so we can all drool over your truck.

For ANYTHING else though, the General Discussion has about the most diverse group of people I've ever seen on a board. Alot of great people are there, and your handle will quickly flush out the hounds.

Not sure what the "F'it" and "new leg to hump... in the wrong forum" stuff is all about.

I mean, yea I like humping and all but you guys have me totally stumped. :lol:

As for mods, not sure what I want/can do right now. I don't want to kill the warranty so I guess I just need to see what's "legal" to do to it that Ford will be okay with. Of course I'd love to jack it up as high as it can go and beef up the performance and bla bla bla... but for now I might keep the mods minor: tinting side windows, bed extender, exhaust...

Any suggestions on simple, semi-cheap & warranty legal mods?

I'll try to explain: The 04/05 Forum is for topics directly related to the truck itself. The GD (General Discussion) is for stuff that doesn't fit in any other forum. IE, introductions, political debates, jokes, questions, etc... What you drive has nothing to do with where you should post. It's all about the content of your post. Get it? I knew you would.

My F' it comment was because I'm one of few that get annoyed by cross posting, wrong forum posting, duplicated posts & non-searchers. I enjoy harassing the person with the offending post... but in your case your a newb and a chick so I figured I'd go easy and just welcome you aboard. I have no real authority here and am usually riding the thin line of being banned and everything I type is pretty much made up or worthless, so don't mind me too much.

'Leg humping' is the act that takes place when a new gal shows up. Many of us are old fat guys that enjoy our trucks and get excited when a hot young thang shows up.

Anywho, enjoy it around here. Fun people & a ton of info...
