Shaker 500 H/U in F150...will it fit?

I just purchased an 05 F150 and have a friend that is wanting me to buy his Shaker 500 Head unit from his mustang because he is opting to put in a navigation system.

Does anyone know if the wiring harnesses in the truck will match up to the inputs in the Shaker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Though I cant answer about the harness.....I can suggest you check out the Shaker500 and make sure it is a "B" unit.I have the "A" unit in my wifes 05 mustang V6 Coupe. CD's have a tendency to skip, stop B4 song is finished in the "A" unit.Though the problem isnt constant..its intermittent...it is kinda annoying. If you go to a Mustang forum you'll find many posts on the Shaker500..........some refer to it as a Skipper500.

How can you tell if it's an A or a B?

Lol, nice Shaker. How is it doing? I think Ford has the same problem with the Audiophile head unit. Dang thing goes to the next song before the song is done and starts each song really loud. It's random too, never consistent.

Is it really that much better than the Audiophile headunit? Or just same thing rebranded?

Same thing. But for some reason, they seem to be available for less money...
