Increase leg room for tall people?

I love my 04 Supercrew but I'm 6'8 and it seems to get smaller everyday does anyone know if you can remove the drivers seat track and increase the amount of seat travel on the rail system it is attatched to?
Has anyone made a custom seat here?
It looks like you could remove the "stoppers" they put in the rear of the track and move them back a little further-then reweld?
Does anyone know what else can be done to increase the foot leg room for the driver?

Thanks for the help

Are you all legs or what? At a bit over 6'10" I have no issues or feel cramped. More room than the old model that's for sure. I hope you have monkey arms since you'll be out of position with the steering wheel.... how far back do you want to go?!

The one thing you didn't mention was if you had the flow-through center console. If you did, I understand why you feel cramped. But that was your fault for buying it, shoulda got an XLT or Larait!

I don't know how true this is. My 98 was a reg cab and I do seem to have less legroom in the 04 Crew. That could just be a reg cab vs crew cab thing. Not sure.

I think the pedals are too far forward vs the old model. I think that makes a huge difference.

Isn't that what adjustable pedals are for?

which I have, but the pedals in the furthest position still seem closer than the pedals in my 98 (which were fixed)

Maybe its the adjustable pedals. They sit closer than fixed pedals.

I don't know. Anybody else thinkthe pedals seem closer?

I’m 6’2” and if the seat went back farther, I would take advantage of it

I agree... I'm 6'2" and my seat is all the way back and the pedals are all the way down. Don't know how you do it at 6'8" or 6'10".

Maybe different seats go back diffent amounts? Maybe manual seats go back further than the power drivers seat, or the split bench goes back further than the captain?

The trucks don't have enormous leg room, I'm just a scrunch over 6'3'', but I have short legs, 32 inch inseam, and the seat full back is just long enough. I don't have the adjustable pedals.
Lots of head room. I could drive it wearing a cowboy hat, and never dent the crown.
But, yeah leg room is just adequate.

It seems to me that the brake pedal is too far from the floor board. I wish there was a way to move it away from the seat. I'm only 6'3". If my legs are comfortable my arms are all stretched out but if my arms are comfortable my legs are crunched. So I try to reach a medium. I heard the adjustable pedals only move the pedals closer to the seat from the regular fixed position. It's kinda annoying since my smaller work vehicle, a Ford Freestar, the pedals/steeringwheel/seat position feels fine.

You short folks (6'5" and under) have NO idea what it's like not to have leg room... .unreal, 6'2" and wanting the seat to go back more...

My previous truck was a 99 xcab f 150 with definately more leg room and pedals seemed farther away

Does any one know of any new quad cab trucks that have more leg room?

I bought my xlt supercrew with no flow through console so I could get more leg room, I would definately lose room with one.
