4x4 4x2, What's the differance?
Does anyone know the differance between the 4x4 and 4x2 suspension for stock ride height? I know the 4x4 has a spacer block added under the rear leaf springs, but what about the front

And can you just take the spacer block out of the rear of the 4x4?

Thanks inbred... I've been wondering that. I wouldn't mind lowering that back a tad since I have to jump into the truck. (I'm 5'9") On the other hand, I moved a hot tub for my father in law yesterday and the truck was pretty much level with the load. I guess if I took the blocks out, I'd have to add bags to the rear suspension for when I hook the trailer up. (too much hassle) Anyway, thanks again for the info.
Sorry for the hijack ILikeBeans... |
I think the springs are different as well

Im only 5'7" and I don't have to do any jumping to get in my truck.

don't get me wrong... I don't use a spring board or anything. It's just either climb in or jump in. I prefer to jump in so I don't scuff the rocker panel.

Do you get a running start?
Im just kidding! :D |
I just fly in. I'm Superman so it's easy for me.

Thanks guys for the responce. I have a 4x2 with 20" Nitto Grapplers and a leveling spacer kit, but it just doesn't lok quit right to me. One guy asked if I lowerd it:eek: I thought to myself, "OK that conferms it". |
