Extang Tuff Tonneau III soft cover on my 05 Screw. Has a pretty neat snapless system; uses a "tongue and groove" kind of setup to attach the cover to the frame. Nice enough cover and so far is completely water tight.

ive got a rollbak on the way- should have it installed by tuesday- will have pics then- www.truck-bed-covers.com they did beat f150 store's price by 25-

I'm getting my leer 700 installed today. It's not low profile, and its heavy, but I think they go great with the truck.

I have the Lund Genesis Roll up. Almost a year now and no problems. I forget where I got it from, but I think it was about $370. Installation takes about 10 minutes by yourself. Easy close, easy open. I highly recommend this.

Thanks y'all. So far, I think the Undercover is up near the top of my list; how's it attached? Clamps? I don't want to do any drilling to install the cover either. Also, for Vader, I was looking through your gallery at this picture:
https://www.f150online.com/galleries...710-100433.jpg
How close is the front corner of the cover to the side of your bed? Looking at it open, it looks pretty close, I was just wondering about any chances of it hitting the paint or anything like that. The Undercover is lockable too, yes?

vader716 06-10-2005 01:37 PM

1. It is lockable yes.
2. It is close, in my case a little to close so I shaved a 1/16 off the inside. It doesn't touch. About 1/4" on both sides.
3. No drilling. 4 bolt on plates that the cover hooks to. You can see the plates in one of the pictures. the one labeled LineX cover.

Very dry even in down pours. Plus cleaning the roof is a breeze I just stand on the cover. They have excellent support because I called them about how close it was.

I couldn't be happier and wouldn't trade it for a soft or a fiber cover.

:thumbsup: :thumbsup: from me.

I love my Fold-a-Cover, like the Advance or k-cover. Mine was 512 to my door, takes a half hour for two to install, an hour for one guy.
To remove takes about three-five minutes, one allen wrench.
Locks front and back.
Folds up for quick cargo trips.
I use the front compartment for a 'trunk'.
Adding power locking to it is under ten bucks, do it yourself.
Light weight.
As it is hard shell, some kid isn't going to cut it open with a pocket knife when you are at the mall.

Not as pretty as a matching fiberglass, but cheaper, lighter, and more practical.

Only thing I dont like about it is... I loose about a foot up front.... but thats really not a big deal. If you want the cover can be removed by two people pretty fast. 4 cap clamps hold it in place, its lockable, and I can roll it open and lock it in any position if I have a tall object that needs to be moved!

I like that Retrax....did you have to modify your drop in liner to install it?

TIA

I think I'm leaning more and more towards the Undercover...now, to find the dollars. :o

Thanks y'all.

Yes.... I had to mod the factory drop in bed liner.... I used a razor and had to cut each side up by the cab... took a total of 20 seconds.

Love the painted fiberglass, but don't have the money;
Really like the rollback, but won't have the money;
Like the "canvas" type, but won't give the security;
So the Fold-a-Cover looks like the winner for me,
-Relatively secure from the honest thief
-I can fold up and take with me if I need the height and am away from home
-I don't lose bed space, which at times is precious with the 5.5' bed.

Good luck Quintin-and Chris, nice pics. Thanks

That is a very good choice, if i could choose over again i would seriously consider buying it as well. My Lo Rider is awesome for looks and security but it is to much of a pain in the a$$ to remove, so much so that it has only been of my truck once in the year that i have owned it.

The Undercover is also pretty much bullit proof! :thumbsup:
