Countdown begins.....

I am in the military living in Hawaii but transferring to Colorado in August. I am leaving to go hunt for a house this Thursday...on my short trip there I pick up my new 2005 Screw FX4 True Blue/DSG...I can't wait....Dealer just sent me all the paperwork for me and the better half to sign (she won't be with me when I pick it up).....I have already had a Retrax added, complete clear bra front wrap, tinted windows, Bedrug, magnaflow si/do exhaust, and have the airaid cold air intake waiting for me at the dealer (had it shipped there since I don't have a local address). Husky Liner mud guards and Husky floor mats....

The only thing the truck doesn't have is reverse sensing, moon roof, dvd, and leather...All this for $31264.60 after rebates...

I have spent over $2500 in addons and haven't even got the truck yet. This site is killing me....Glad that I have already made my purchase though. That way I get the enjoy the truck from the beginning....Just want to add an alarm and xcalibrator and I should be finished...I hope...

Only 2 days til I get my new ride....I am friggin ecstatic....wooohooo.. .I will post pics as soon as I can...

Brian

Congrats on the new ride! My brother works parts at Phil Long, I'll be driving up to see him on the 30th of June, and we are going to do a bunch of Roush and Lincoln installs on my supercrew. Mine is expected to arrive on the 20th-27th of June here in Vegas, so I'm in the same boat. Thousands of dollars of mods waiting for the truck to arrive.

hey vegastrac what Roush products are you installing on your truck?

What part of vegas do you live in?

My family and I have a house in Mesquite NV and I will be attending UNLV in about one year.

Ford Man, here is the list that is going on the truck right away...

Lincoln parts:
Front grille + Emblem
Rear tailgate panel + Emblem, minus "lincoln" and "mark LT" letters
Rear tailgate panel taillight reflectors
Door and Tailgate handles

Roush parts:
Front chin spoiler with grille
Hood Scoop with insert
4X4 suspension package

Rims:
22" Chrome rims and tires

Other stuff:
Window tint
Snug Top tonneau cover
Bed Rug
Chrome trim around headlights
AF1 Intake
Dual Exhaust
T/P Tuner
Wet Okole Seat Covers
And I'll have some painting left to do with interior parts, FX4 fender flares and mirrors.

A few of these things might have to wait a bit, but eventually I will get it all done.

Right now we are living in SW Vegas. We are in Vegas since my wife transferred to UNLV to finish up college. She was going to be finished in the fall of '05, but our plans for having a second kid came a little sooner than we were hoping, so we will be going back to Alaska in August. We'll come back down in January to finish her last semester after the baby is born. After she graduates in May, we will be moving back to Alaska for good and building our home.

You'll like UNLV, especially if you are single! I usually head to the school to pick my wife up about a half hour early... I really don't mind the wait, the eye candy is worth it.

What are you going to study there?

Finally got it....I love it

Here are some pics....I absolutely love it. Already have a problem at 200 miles. The speedometer got stuck at 35 and wont go down...Will go up so when it says 85 I'm only doing 50. The passenger side airbag light keeps coming on (over the radio) what is this? how do I stop it from coming on?

Thanks,

Also, what is the avg miles you get per tank with city driving with a 30 gallon tank...?

The passenger light comes on when the seat detects weight that could be a child. The manual probably tells you the weight. The truck turns off the airbag automatically to protect the "child".

Congrats on the truck.

Thanks Vader...My 9 yr old son was riding up front. D&mn this truck is smart....I like how the radio adjusts the volume itself based on what speed your going.....Wish I could figure out what the heck is up with the speedometer

Try resetting the gauges. Before putting the key in press and hold the trip button. Still holding the button, put the key in and turn it to the "acc" position (when the air condition and stuff comes on). After a short pause "TEST" should show up on the display, then release the button and it should show "SWEEP GAUGES". I dont know if it would work at all but its a thought. Anyways, nice truck!!!

Dont know about the speedometer sorry. I love the airbag shut off. My brother in law has a key to shut off his airbag and he never turns it back on. I also think I read the airbags deploy differently based on speed, passenger position, etc but I can't swear to it.

Your wipers adjust with the speed too. (not a big deal though, hard to notice)

Congrats again....
