has anyone installed an overhead console with the rails?any info would help. thanks

 

installing the rails would be quite a job. you would have to pull the headliner out of the truck, cut holes in the liner to install the clips (the clips go in from the backside), re-install the liner then mount the rails and hope they are straight and i think you have to change the dome light modules too (not sure about that one).

 

I hardly ever use mine, it doesn't hold that much. It would be a PITA to install the over head rail and then be able to put a pair of sunglasses and a container of tic tacs in there.

 

I store my CD case up there. It's about the best use I've found for it. Although I am interested in the aftermarket DVD players that mount to the overhead rail.
