ugly factory skid plate removal !!

Is it just me, or are those things not only butt ugly but usesless as well? They appear to reduce ground clearance and would do squat for protection. Anyone else ? ?

I personally like the look of a skidplate but I agree... the factory one is nothing great. I was thinking o building a custom stainless one and polishing it this summer.

If you do take them off, send them to me, I'll be happy to throw them away for you...

I don't think that would look to bad. Untill something hit it then it would look like poop. All scratched up and stuff.

I suppose they could be Line-X coated. I wonder how that would hold up on there though?

The Line-X idea is the best idea if you want to do them a different color. I think it would hold up pretty good.
