Canada actually has stricter rules than the US does. They follow the US DOT laws as well as their own so their laws are even tighter.
Those bulbs should work fine for looks, but for output it will decrease. If youre looking for whiter "looking" lights, that is what you'll get, but for output lumens, the blue filter will always decrease performance, as well as make your reflectors shine blue which I cant stand.

I was under the impression that the blue coating actually increased the output of the light in some bulbs ie the silverstars. But i do understand what you are talking about, such as the cool blue halogens, those suck

When engineered correctly, the output can increase. the only bulbs that do this are the E-Code European Silverstars and Cool Blues. They are made in Germany and have CLEAR glass. They output a very white light (up to a 50% increase) without the blue coating. Silverstars and Cool Blues we have here in the US and Canada (DOT Spec) are made in Korea and decrease output because they use an actualy blue filter to remove yellow spectrum which proves less output.
Other aftermarket cheap blue coated bulbs are commonly made in China and Taiwan and are even worse than those.

nfortunatly, I dont see there ever being a ECE (e1 E-Code) CLEAR Silverstar being manufactured.
