Guys with 35's

I've noticed a couple of yall have 35 inch tires on your trucks with the only the leveling kit. I am going to be getting some new tires soon because the stockers just arent holding up on the farm with all these gravel roads. They have about 14K on them and they are about a year old so they have held up pretty good so far but those 35's look good on your trucks. I was thinking of getting the Toyo m/t's or the BFG m/t's. I've read that these tires rub a little bit when turned all the way but do they rub when you take it off road. I dont plan on doing any serions off roading but I need some mud tires and these seem to be the best choice. Do you think they would rub going over something like tractor ruts or going over a little ditch or something of that nature. If the 35's rub I may get the 285 BFG all terrains or the 275 maxxis buckshot mudders. Theres not much to choose from with these 18 inch rims

I would say that without some sort of lift on your truck, the 35s will definitely rub when going over any sort of ruts or ditches...have you considered a body lift? They run about 200 bucks for our trucks and are not that hard to install...that will definitely give you the clearance you need for 35s....in my opinion i have heard the toyo m/ts are great...i am currently running 35 toyo a/ts and love them...hope this helps a little bit

Will the Body lift Void the warranty? I asked about the leveling kit and they said no so i doubt a body lift would be any different. Do you know where I could get a body lift for it?

I have a Daystar 2.5" leveling kit with 35" Toyo M/T on my truck. They do rub slightly when the wheel is all the way turned to the right. I did have to zip tie back my driver's side wheel well. I simply drilled two small hole near the bottom corner. Then I strung a zip tie through and zipped it back using a bolt right behind the corner. It's been in place for 5K miles with no problems. Some people have cut their wheel wells, but I don't think it is necessary.

I have been off road 3 times and haven't had any problems with rubbing at all. When they do rub it is on the frame near the back of the wheel well on the passenger side. The frame has rounded corners and doesn't cause any damage to the tires from what I can see. The Toyo M/T have big thick shoulder which helps. You'll quickly learn not to fully crank your wheel to avoid the rubbing. In addition, the only time you turn that sharp is at low speed anyway. Hope this helps.

I would recommend the Toyo M/T highly!

Nevermind the body lift because then the grille guard wouldnt fit right. I think I'm just going to try them out and if they rub a little while off roading then they'll just have to rub a little.
