I have some older model infinity reference 5752cf 5x7's in my 01'. They have always sounded bright and clear with some pretty good thump. That's with no amp. You should be good without an amp with those particular speakers that you posted because they have a high sensitivity level @ 92 dB. And they handle between 2 to 90 watts, which are in range with your factory radio. But you can add an amp if you want a cleaner sound at higher volumes. Or if you add a sub later, you'll need an amp for the door speakers anyway to keep the sub from drowning them out.

As long as the head unit puts out enough watts to match the wattage specs on the speakers. The higher the sensitivity (dB level) of the speakers, the more efficient they are. Meaning it takes less watts to power them. Usually anything under 90 dB's needs an amp. Say your head unit makes 22 watts RMS per channel. And your speakers wattage range is between 2 watts to 90 watts. And your dB level on your speakers is 92-93 dB. They are going to play fine. But just say that you use the same head unit, and then try connecting speakers with a dB level of 89 dB, and a wattage range of 8 watts to 98 watts. You aren't going to get good sound out of those speakers because they require more power (in watts), and the have a lower dB sensitivity level which makes them less efficient. Meaning that they require more power (an amp). Is that clear as mud? I hope you get an idea of what I'm trying to say. If you don't, just go to crutchfield.com and get their toll-free number. They can tell you anything you need to know.

so all the speakers are 6x8? so those components would be good for up front, then the two rear could be replaced by some 2 way speakers like these.. reference

looks like a good deal.. ive had the infinity basslink sub for a while and for its size it produces clean bass... i think ill stick to infinity

Im going to do front and rear components. It really wouldn't be that much more expensive to do and Im sure that it will make the sound a lot crisper.
