As with many others of you F-150 owners with the flow through console I have some valuable stuff in there. I keep my digital cameracorder in there - all the remote's for my TV's and DVD's as well as CD's and what not.

Anyways - living in Boston I often have to valet my truck (extremely unwillingly) and if just giving someone else the keys to my truck isn't enough I have to worry that they will steal something even if only the quarters I have in there.

MY QUESTION IS - Has anyone seen - or does anyone have any ideas on how I can lock my center console - or fabricate something to lock it???

Not just valet's but also when I take it to the stereo shop or the body shop...

Any help will be greatly appreciated - and thanks in advance!

-Antonio
Don't put anything valuable in the console

Well, round 1 was kinda a draw... might as well go another time.

Personally, I'm just going to re-run "The Best of Dzervit" for round two.

Ding ding ding... round 2...

Putting a lock on a plastic box really isn't security. Yeah it may keep the valet from casually browsing your F-150 store, but it won't stop much else. I'd find a nice metal lock box that fits right in the console... then bolt it to the floor. Security problem solved, even if it's a break-in.

The really weird thing about this thread, it has some good ideas, for the poster who started it.
There have been good links posted, good ideas posted, despite being populated by a bunch of smart asse... uh, I mean smart associates.
