I think I'm lucky to have anything remotely resembling Mexican food here in the Detroit, Michigan area. I couldn't live sans tacos. At least I still get valet service at the Burger King...

I'm not sure which posts you are unhappy with? The fight ones are a drag, but that seems to happen a lot around here, Oh well, price for good info.

But if it's about locking things, well, would you leave your wallet, bulging with cash, laying on your dash with your window open?

If you would, and have not had a problem, then where the heck do you live? Can I get a good house in your area?

Cause around here, they will unscrew your teeth if you don't have Lockjaw.

NukePooch, If you think Taco Bell has 'tacos' I am truly sorry for you.

I have tried 'Mexican' food in many places across this fair land. If the state isn't on the Mexican boarder, don't buy the Mexican.

Tex-Mex is tied with Californio-Mex. Food so good, you eat till you burst.

What kind of 'good eatin' they have there around the motor city?
Local stuff is the best, most places.
Highjacking this thread may qualify as a public service...

Why do we even come here then, if we can't ask questions in a forum.

Yeah...Tex Mex rocks...(I've got lots of family in Texas...)

The local stuff around here?
Polish stuff (kielbasa,kraut,pierogies,yummm)
Coney dogs...with Koegel hot dogs
Pasties...a meat pie thingy usually found a bit further north.
Donuts...Sorry, Krispy Kreme's usually don't count up here.
Beer... Canadian beer is infinitely better than Mexican beer...(USA is out of the comparison)

Hey, watch the mex beer thing, Tecate is good stuff, for thin beer.
And Dos X's makes fair parts cleaner...

As to American beer, well, it's the only thing we don't do well.

I'm glad you have had real Tex-Mex. If you get out to the (bring) Golden State, do get some Californio-Mex food. Completely different from Tex-Mex.

You will know your in the right place when it's non-chain (or just a few in the chain) and the place is full of happy Mexicans eating and talking.

Bacon wrapped shrimp swiming in garlic, that sorta thing.
A burrito should have potato in it. Chunks. and if it's got beef, it should be chunks, or shredded.

A taco is not supposed to crunch...

A chili should not be cut up.

The other food group is Avacodo.

Darn, now I'm making myself hungry.

Have a great one
Chris

Breaking into the center console, locked or not, isn't exactly a difficult thing for a determined thief to accomplish.

The best bet ultimately is either leave all your stuff at home or consider a locked tonneau cover and/or a locked storage box secured to the floorboard or bed or something.

Quintin, I like that pic in your sig. I'm too old for that kind of hunting, unless I could do it from a blind?

Think we could get some of those
(insert ethnic/religious/scatalogical term here) to come to the water hole?
I've got a nice HK91 that's never shot anything more fun than paper to try out.

Oh, no...you did NOT just down my Altoids...I can take a lot of abuse, but to mess with a man's breath mints? That's just mean... Unless you were referring to valets needing breath mints...from hanging out at Taco Bell, perhaps?

And as far as "The other food group is Avacodo," I never had so much as when I was passin' thru S Cali...I swear I could order a bowl of cereal and it'd have avocado in it.

I just took a peek and it looks like it would be almost trivial to add a lock to the console. But hey, I don't want to **** off neptuno with an idea that does not meet with his approval....

Chris, one is only as old as he thinks. Only thing I shoot at it paper and dirt berms myself.

I've always had a thing for HK rifles...must be from watching Die Hard waaaaaaay too many times.

the point was, you can't pick and choose the responses. You have to take the good with the bad. You may not like what you hear but you have to take it.

And if you cant handle that, meaning you only want answers that you personally think are appropriate, then dont post.

Besides, who exactly determines what is valuable and what is not? As far as I'm concerned there is only one. The guy that pays for the site. And that doesn't even mean hes right... it means that this is his sandbox and no one elses.

Almost forgot what the topic was...

Do the 04-05 F-150's without the center console have a locking glove compartment? I don't think they do, but if you could find a glove compartment lock that either matched or contrasted the console storage cover, you might be able to rig something that at least looked OEM.
