Any of you miss old style F150?

Wondering if any of you who've traded to the new F150 have any regrets. I'm considering trading my 01 Screw for an 04 Scab or Screw. 04 deals are sick right now. My payment and insurance would go down and gas mileage is a couple miles/gallon better. I'm bad about wanting the "new" toy though. IYHO is the new truck better? Thanks guys,
Griz

All I can tell you is: DO NOT test drive the 04'!
Or you will be driving it home in a hearbeat

I have to say, I likethis truck a lot better than my 99 F150. I actually traded that truck on a new 02 Mustang GT. Loved the car but decided I really wanted the truck back. Got my 04 F150 and love every thing about it. I say go for it. ALl your payments will go down and gas mileage will go up...Its a no brainer. I hear ya about wanting the " New Toy" Im the same way. When I seen the truck at the Philly auto show, I knew I was getting one as soon as they came out. I think I was the first one in town to have one. Now im DROOLING over the new stang but I know I have to hold off.

Get the truck, you'll be happy!

The 04 and 05 F150's are outstanding! My father has a 02 F150 XLT and I can't believe how different it is compared to the new ones! Ford did a Great job at making the new trucks! I agree with oen guy said "as soon as you test drive the 04, you will have it in your driveway" Goodluck with what ever you decide to do!

When I bought my 04 I had to have it, so instead of trading in my 02 I traded my wifes 03 Explorer Sport Trac. Now I can choose which F150 I want to drive. You won't regret getting the new body style, it's like night and day between the two.

I don't miss the old body style at all. I don't want to offend anyone who owns one of the older trucks but I feel they look....well....feminine, there I said it. The '04-'05 models have a more rugged look. The previous body style kept me from buying one.

Once I saw the prototype for '04, I decided to wait and buy when it was available.

I thought the 97-03 F150s were great. Had a couple of 'em. They were so much nicer than the pre 97s. That being said, the new ones are soooo much better than the last model.

No, I have both

I will say though the 01 seats are WAY nicer feeling. Other then that I like the 04 100x better hands down.

My 04' FX4 Screw is so much better than my old 00' XLT Scab, there is no comparison between the two.

That being said, for some reason, I like the look of the old model lifted as opposed to the new model, but I don't know why???

I have to say I was nervous when I ordered my 04 SCREW Lariat. I ordered it sight unseen with no test drive when Iwas overseas in IRAQ. I picked it up the day after I arrived home. What a gift to myself! I love this truck.

Go for it, you'll love the new style!!

if you like your pre-04 fl50 and it is a good truck, keep it...if your a creature of habit, keep your old f-150.

the 04-05 are significantly improved, but in my mind they are smaller in intieror room, and still just a truck...if your pre 04 f-150 is a problem child, dump it for the new f-150...and I'm not crazy abought the body style of the 04....but thier minor complaints regaurding an excellant truck.

I've seen you say this on numerous threads and wonder where you are coming up with this.

2002 reg cab F150
Interior
Front Head Room: 40.8 in. Front Hip Room: 61 in.
Front Shoulder Room: 63.8 in. Front Leg Room: 40.9 in.

2004 reg cab F150
Interior
Front Head Room: 40.9 in. Front Hip Room: 65.4 in.
Front Shoulder Room: 66.5 in. Front Leg Room: 41.3 in.

The cabs on the new F150s were lengthened so how could they be smaller?
