Talking The Easter Bunny came early

.....and all he left in my basket was this new Lariat. After several weeks of waiting, it finally came in the Friday before Easter. Now this was "Good Friday", so I have high hopes.

Makes me wonder though. They say you should never buy a truck that was built on a Monday, since everyone is coming down from the weekend. they also say you should never buy a truck that was built on a Friday, since everyone is gearing up for the weekend. My truck was built in a week that had a Monday, a Friday, and a Saint Patrick's Day. Hopefully, this guy didn't work on the line when mine went through.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have that perfectly built Tuesday or Wednesday truck.

Happy Easter Everyone

Congrats Something I've noticed on the 2005's is they darken the shading/accent color on the lariat wheels and also the tan leather is darker. I noticed when I was at the dealer the other day. You can also see in his picture how the wheels are darker than mine.

changes between 04-05 Lariat

I visited many dealer's lots, and looked at looked at many galleries here to help me choose my color combos (Your pics, lariatf150 were a big factor). I saw right away how the lighter 04 tan leather was replaced with a darker tan in the 05's. My guess is that the darker tan may be easier to keep clean. Who knows. After seeing the black leather interior with captains chairs though, I was sold.

The 05 Lariat has no wheel options. It is the 18" 5 spoke with a polished face and Arizona Beige accents. With a beige grill, and no factory wheel options, the two-tone seemed the way to go, and ties it all together.

I've never been a big fan of black interiors, but that looks great. Nice choice.

I've actually considered trying to find a set of the AZ Beige accented 18"'s for my KR.

Yes, I have accented wheels but, I like the looks of the spoke style better.... I'd just swap out my center caps with those. Hmm... pricey mod but, possible.

Looks great! I have the dark grey interior as well. My last truck had tan, I actually think it looks better. Kind of a pain to keep clean since it shows the dust and dirt a lot easier than the old.

You know I didn't realize the rear headrests lifted up like that. lol

Great looking truck! The 2 tone paint is a nice different look. Now yank that front licence plate holder off!

Keep checking eBay, Rockpick. I bought 2 Lariat wheels in great condition for $350 (including the tires - in better shape than mine!).

Whos looking for Lariat wheels and tires?
Im probably going to sell mine which have 100 miles on them for $800. Shipping will probably be quite expensive.

Talking

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Much appreciated. The mods have already started. Got my Carpeted Nifty Catch Alls in, and added the molded Husky Mud guards all around. also have a Ford low profile bug deflector just waiting to be slapped on the front.

About that front license plate holder. I agree it would look a lot better off the truck. Yanked it off my 2000 when I put the bumper cover on, so I'm with ya. On these newer trucks, it's obvious you can just cut it off, but if I get busted for not running a front plate, I would have to add it back. How big a pain is it to get to the mounting screws (if there are screws) of that thing, so that I could take it off in tact, just in case? Would the lower valence have to come off first?

I wish we were not required to have front tags here in Texas but you will definately get a ticket here where I live if you don't have one. I think it takes alot away from the appearance of the front end.
