3K and leather is showing signs
I have seen other posts awhile back but nothing recent about premature leather wear on our trucks. I am experiencing this unfortunate problem on my drivers seat, top left corner where the seams meet with just a touch over 3K on it.
Question is, if you have had this problem, was their any resolution from Ford?
Possible Replacement?
Reupholstry offered by Ford?
This sucks because this is basically the only problem that I have really had with this truck and for the hufty price tag, you wouldn't expect cheap a$$ leather.
Thanks for any and all input.

From what I hear Ford will only replace the seat covers if there is an split in the leather. In other words you have to have littlerly worn a hole in it before they will do anything.
I am buying a new set of covers off ebay to put in the closet for later because I am sure these will split sooner rather than later. The leather in my F150 feels really soft. I wouldnt call it cheap...in fact it reminds me of the leather they put in Vettes, but soft leather doesnt hold up well. My Dodge Ram had black leather in it, but it was hard or thick or somthing (like a football) and when I traded it at 90,000 miles it really had no signs of wear at all on it.

Last week when I picked up my new F150 there was a customer in the dealership having exactly that problem. They told him that it was very unusual for leather seats to be showing any wear that soon. They told him they would either have his seats repaired or replaced and they put him in a new 05 F150 demo while his is being repaired. That is one reason why I am a repeat customer for my dealership in Marble Falls TX. They have always gone the extra mile. My F150 is the 4th vehicle I've purchased from them in the last 15 years. I don't know how many miles his had on it but it certainly didn't look like many.

Use your grab handle and step bar and lift your **** up off the seat when exiting. Since these trucks sit so high, I quickly realized that I would have to step up and out if I wanted my seats to last more than a year. You have to get out of the habit of spinning and sliding out when exiting.

My truck came in with the leather seat bottom on the drivers side damaged, Ford replaced it on warranty, and the receipt was $276.
Now my new seat seems to be getting small cracks in the corner,
will have to wait and see, or it will be going back for another cover before warranty expires.
