Lowest price for a new F150?
Lowest price for a new F150?
Out of curiosity, what is the lowest net price paid for a privately owed (not a commercial deal) new F150? Don't include taxes and tags as these differ among each state, but do include shipping, dealer prep and or/other charges etc. not related to state imposes taxes or actual state reg/title charges...IE Dealer charges for "administrative” charges should be counted as dealer add on, while what the actual DMV charges would not count), obviously the net price will be after any/all incentives are taken into account. No need to list how much under invoice, or how much $ off MSRP etc. just the bottom net dollar cost before taxes and tags.
Also include the full specs of the truck.
Start with those who paid less than $16,000 or close to that?

I'm assuming bought new 2004 trucks count in this question?
12,995 STX Reg cab
Sliding rear window, carpet kit, fog lamps;
listed as optional charged for equipment.
MSRP 23,375.00
Cash price 17995.00
Factory Rebait -5000.00
Net 12,995.00
plus tax 1,398.00
plus registration 243.00
plus 5.00 'tire fee' Tax
45.00 document fee
I have seen work trucks advertised at 10,995. with a lot of rebait stuff.
The dealership sold 3 without the charged for extras at this price. They ran out before I could buy one, so they let me have this one at that price. Nice sales manager.

I was thinking about the lowest price paid on a new (never registered, demo-ed, in transit damaged/repaired etc.) period regardless of MSRP on either 04' or 05' model. Also forgot to add, only those who did not have a trade in should reply, as we know a trade-in muddies the numbers.
Lowest net price for non-commercial/non-fleet consumer purchase (including taking off for factory rebates/incentives), plus any dealer add on fees for admin etc., no trade in, and before state imposed tax/fees or registration/title tags fees etc.
Example (created numbers)
2004 F150 XL
MSRP with shipping: $23,500
Dealer discount: $2,000
Net: $21,500
less factory incentive/rebates you qualified and got off: $3,500
net: $18,000
Dealer fees for reg/paperwork $199
Net price before taxes/tag/title/ etc.: $18,199
(again, the above numbers are made up as an example)

Could you confirm/clarify:
So the cash price (no trade in and no cash down) for the new and unregistered 04' XTS was $17,995 before any factory incentives or rebates? This would mean that the dealer gave you $5,380 off MSRP before any factory rebates/incentives.
.
.
That is a massive amount off MSRP that the dealer gave you, I don’t see how he had the room to discount it so much unless you bought it under a fleet/commercial program . Looking on FORD.com dealer inventory search, I was able to find one with a very low invoice prices, but it is only for fleet/commercial buyers (example of the commercial/fleet price: 05’ XL V6 auto, work package, tow, AC, 3.77 limited slip, speed control: Total MSRP= $22,410.00 with a Total invoice= $16,542.00 (a $5,868 difference). A consumer purchase of the exact vehicle built on Ford.com: Total MSRP=$23,090.00 with a Total Invoice=$20,772.00 (a $2,318 difference). I contacted the dealer and the sales manager told me that the truck would have to be re-invoiced at a consumer rate if sold to a non-fleet/commercial buyer.
.
.
So not only did the dealer gave you $5,380 off MSRP, but you also got $5,000 off in factory rebates and incentives? So basically you bought a new 04' STX for $12,995, including shipping?
Was your STX invoiced under the fleet/commercial program? Was there a trade-in involved? Was your STX ever registered by a prior owner or used as a demo etc?
Please don't take this as an insinuation, just wondering how the dealer was able to take $5,380 off the MSRP (before factory rebates/incentives), as that would be nearly $3,000 under invoice.
The only other way I can think of is if you bought your 04' very late in the year or early this year and Ford was giving large amounts of undisclosed factory-to-dealer incentives in your general location.
I bought my truck in September, just before the 2005's were advertised. The price was a sale price. I bought it in Orange County, California (as opposed to the one in Florida).
The Dealer offered 3 STX trucks, a red, a white and a black.
We were looking at a used Tahoe at the Saturn dealer in Riverside, it sold while we where driving down to see it. I was disgusted, and we stopped at a McDonalds. Looking through the LA Times, (Pravda west coast edition) there were many 04 and 05 trucks for 12-14 k. This is every month, at least, in the Los Angeles basin. Our choices were a 2005 Colorado, at 12,995, or the STX's. I had researched the 97-03 F-150 and knew they were a great truck. I hadn't read a thing on the 04. Didn't want to spend more than 10-15 k.
I had been to the local Ford dealership. Lowest price thing they had was a 2001 F-150 70k miles for 14,999. No negotiation. We test drove that the day before we went down to buy the Tahoe.
After not getting the Tahoe, we did stop for a minute at the local Riverside Ford dealer. They had nothing under 23k. That was for a work truck. They never mentioned rebaits or discounts. Take it or leave it. Same as at the local dealer.
While at the McDonalds we called on the sale STX's and were told that the Red one might be sold, but the other two were avalable.
We got on the 91 and headed straight there. Traffic got heavy and we called halfway there, The Red one was sold, and they thought the white one was sold. We talked about buying a black one, not too sure about the color.
We went into the show room and my wife found the salesmanager. The Black one was out on a test drive. She was unhappy and asked if he had anything else. He went in and talked to the GM, came out and told us that if we bought it that day, he would let us have a silver one, that had more options, better tires. Same price. We said sure, why not. We had to wait while they washed it off, and brought it around. They keep their reg cabs stashed somewhere off site. The have nothing on the public lot that isn't top of the line. Orange County...
It had about 4.0 miles on it. We took it for a five mile test drive, and went in to sign papers.
We thought it was very good of them to sell this one at the sale price. We made no threats, didn't cause any scene. My wife is one of the nicest people on the planet. The sales staff just wanted to do the right thing.
One of the rebaits required that we finance the truck. But the salesman, the finance person, everyone there knew we were going to pay it off early. They told us no problem. We got the first bill, and sent them five thousand dollars, planning to let it run for a month or so, but not likeing to pay interest. They sent us a very nice letter back saying they thought we might want to just pay it off, and gave us a payoff amount. We sent the rest of the money that day, and it caused NO problems to our credit.
I hate payments. If I can't afford it, I don't buy it.
As to the price, don't kid yourself that the dealerships sell things at cost. I am completely sure this truck turned a profit for the dealership. Not on the invoice, but on the back end.
Every month deals like this are offered in the Valley. This was the first one I have bought, but I have 'almost' bought half a dozen times based on these sales.

My sticker was 43K & I purchased @ 29K before state tax, I negotiated to 34K with an out of town dealer and then took advantage of a 5K rebate for a stock truck the last day of a promotion in September 2004. I gave 3 local dealers the chance to meet the price before I drove 2 1/2 hours to sign the deal about 1 hour before they closed.
here is what I can remeber, but the truck literally has EVERY option
2004 LOADED Screw Lariat 4X4, this included every option! 5.4L V8, limited slip, leather, sliding window, DVD, Audiofile, 18 inch wheels, fors bedliner, ford window vents and front bug shield, step up bars, tonneu cover, heated seats, rear bumper reverse warnng system, towing package, I added remote start the next day on my own. By the way they did not charge for the Vibration and the rattles!
Still liove the truck, especially after driving the Dodge for a week while my local is working on the mentioned problems,,, 20 days in the shop so far!!!

new truck price
just bought an 05 Screw Black xlt, fully loaded with Audiophile 6-disc/mp3 player, power seats, power rear window, heated power mirrors, tow and go package, limited slip 3.55, 5.4 3v engine, 2 tone flint cloth, keyless entry, power pedals, and probably some other stuff im forgetting. sticker was over 32, i ended up paying about 24,500, and they even threw in the extended warranty. the dealer was a real jackass though, took 3 days, and walking out on him twice, plus showing ads from local dealers that were selling the trucks cheaper than him.
