Poor Mans Homelink

The button to the right of the lighter is my garage door opener. Total cost $2.65.
Thanks to Scott7065 for the two hole trim piece

Excellent idea! I miss the built in Garage Door Opener compartment that I had in the overhead of my 2002 Screw.

true dat.

I'm actually gonna stick my garage door opener on the inside of my door map pocket, so I just have to reach down on my left and hit it with my fingers.

That's just way past cool!! Is it still battery powered or are you using a power converter??

jgross 03-04-2005 07:27 PM

The board runs on 3 volts so I put a new battery in, it should last for about two years

How did you know which joints to soldier for the wires?

jgross 03-05-2005 09:33 AM

The controller I used had three buttons. Each button had four post soldered to the board. I put my meter on different post until it showed 3 volts then I pressed the button and the voltage dropped to 0. I used those post.
