I'm sure I will be posting some repeated threads when my XM goes in tomorrow. Till then
As for steve, he just used a bit of sarcasm. Me being from nj, I'm used to it. It wouldn't be right if I didn't use sarcasm or get it on a daily basis.

Being an engineer, I'll give you guys some basic equations that you can use your calculators to find your numbers. Just realize even though a tire is supposed to be the exact size determined by these equations, they are usually not exactly correct. If you know the brand you want, the manufacturer's website usually has the overall height and width listed for each tire. The same size in different brands are usually not exactly the same size. That being said here's the equations.
Tire sized marked on tire is in this format:
xxx/yyRzz
xxx is the width in millimeters
yy is the height based on a percentage of the width. (a 50 series tire has a sidewall that is 50% of it's width.)
zz is the wheel size in inches.
Width of tire in inches = xxx divided by 25.4
Example 275/25.4=10.83 inches
Height of sidewall in inches = (xxx times yy/100) all divided by 25.4
exampe (275 * 65/100)/25.4 = 7.03 inches
Overall Height of Tire in inches = zz + 2 times (height of sidewall in inches from above)
Example 18+2*7.03=32.06 inches
Hope this helps!
Just basic equations and conversions, but some people don't know how simple it is to figure it out yourself.

No need to use the search feature. Heck, if all you did was post in the tire forum you'd most likely get your answer without getting the sarcastic replies. But since you've instead decided to resort to name calling, I am no longer willing to read your crap. You can join TritonXLT and a few others on my ignore list.
