Center Console Usage?

My wife and I just purchased a '05 SuperCrew FX4. The center console on my 1998 F-150 STX had a removable "tote" with dividers in it. I wish someone made something like that for our new SuperCrew.

Any ideas?

No wrath from me, but (yes) you'll find many answers with good searches.

I got my simple screw/nail/nut/washer organizer from Home Depot for $2.49 ... could easily stack three complete cases if needed inside the console. Good luck ... and WELCOME!

Welcome Mitch,,I agree a tote tray would be nice for the flow thru console, mine ends up looking like the proverbial junk drawer no matter what I do.....

Hey, not tweak this thread, but maybe Ford or somebody can come up with a console lid that you can actually open up while driving and retrieve something without causing an accident.

My wife's Yukon XL has a side hinge on her console and it is very simple to open and retrieve. My FX-4 is a pain to open.

Just a commment. Sorry to step on your thread.

Thanks for all the ideas! I guess I was hoping that somone made an aftermarket bin.

We use the truck to tow our Miata to autocross events. There's a TON of stuff available for the Miata. I'm hoping that with enough time, the aftermarket will come up with something. Or I could try to play "handyman" and build something. (not one of my strong points)

Congrats on the new truck. And I too agree that I wish there was some kind of console orginizer that you could get for that. I have seen some guys make things, but it would be nice if Ford designed one for it.
