Not sad and unfortunate any more!!

Well guys, I think I made out alright. I went to that dealer, and I saw the work truck. Standard cab, stripped, longbed.
I didn't even drive it. I closed the door, went in and told them I did not like or want that truck. He said that is the only vehicle I gan get, take it or leave it. Well, the wife and I went and had some lunch and then decided to go to a smaller Ford dealer. When we arrived, I talked to the head finance guy, laid it all out on the table. He said okay, go and look at some vehicles. So out to the lot we went. We started at the used vehicles. We drove an 02 F-150 Lariat Supercrew with 42,000 miles. Liked it. 2 hours later we drove off with it. And not a lease, a purchase. They did the deal where the other dealer wanted to throw me a bone.
The new truck:
2002 F-150 Lariat Supercrew
5.4L
Custom exaust (don't know what brand, but it sounds good)
bed extender
bed liner
premium sound with cd changer
Dark shadow gray
18" bling wheels & tires

We did it!
So I guess I'll start posting in the supercrew forum now.
My apologies for posting all of this in the 2004-2005 forum, but that's what I thought I was going to end up with.
I'll be changing my sig.
Thanks for all of your advice and moral support. I needed it.
I'll be posting pics.

Way To Go!

That's awesome dude! You should stop by the first dealership, and thank them for forcing you to do business elsewhere!

And 3 nanners for your new ride!

Thats great news and as said above you should go thank your previous dealer for chasing you away for life.
Congrats on the new wheels, you deserve them.

Yep congrats...you should drive by the other dealer and park just to show them....

If I remember correctly your original had a less miles, so that must have been tough but I'm glad you got a nice truck to replace a nice truck....
