Uninstalled Leveling Kit today
I took my Autospring spacers out today. They were the 2” kit. (1 5/8” actual) After looking at all the pics of the 04’s with drop shackles, I changed my mind about the lift and decided to drop the front back to stock height and lower the rear with DJM Lowering Shackles. I don’t know if it’s my imagination or what, but the front end feels tighter now that it’s back to factory specs. I had a local Ford dealership do the alignment. I’ll have some pics soon and will also have the Autospring Kit listed in the classified add section.

You have to give back your Auto Spring membership card and now we have to change the secret handshake. TRAITOR!

And you're no longer allowed to sit with us at the "cool table" during lunch. :rocker:

JP, do you have a 2wd or 4wd truck? And I happen to agree with your decision- tall trucks might look cool but you give up a lot of function and ease of use by jacking them up. Fords are too tall from the factory anyway. My 02 sits a lot higher than my 88 did, and the new body style is taller yet.

I bet he's secretly going to install a Daystar...

I'm gonna do the DJM 2" rear shackles whenever I get around to it. I agree, the stockers fill the wheel wells up better with the 2" rear drop.

Nut- i am not a fan of lift kits... they are just not practical. i laugh when i am in parking lots and i watch people struggle to get in their lifted S/D. I would never lift an IFS truck. S/D is perfect for lifting, but some of these guys are just obnoxious. i like the look the spacer provides and for the cost it is tough to beat, but in the long haul it is like putting a band-aid on a broken bone.
