Hit gas hard, hit break hard, hit gas hard again and BANG!

Do I have a problem?

Today I was driving and got a little road rage in my 04 f150 4.6L supercrew. I went to pass a guy on the road, so I hit the pedel to the metal just for about 3 seconds until the guy decides to cut me off and I slammed on the brakes not to hit him (not enough to loose control) I then hit the gas hard again to pass him on the other side right after hitting my breaks hard and I felt and heard a big bank from behind my truck! I leave this guy a lone I was having a fit with and I pulled onto a side street and gunned it to about 40MPH and put my break on hard and step on the gas again right after breaking hard and it seemed like the engine would go but when the truck decided to go there was a another bang from which sounds like the back of the truck. It only does this after you hit the brakes hard and then step on the gas pedel hard right afterwards. Is this something I should be worried about??

Anyone else felt this or know what this might be???

Yeah, it's your truck getting confused, downshifting with a fury and shooting you off on your way. Your only problem is your driving style. Every car I've ever driven (with the exception of the bimmer) has made horrible noises when demanding xtreme action from it. Normal.

Yes...you need to take driving lessons, or an anger management class

Calm down, life is too short for all this ANGER.

Heck, here in Florida you could get shot by someone during Road Rage.

Isn't worth it......

Not worth distroying a tranny.

I drive about 300 miles a day and there has not been a day that I have not had a close call.

People cant drive worth a crap. Im sure the other people watching you today said that about you also.

Maybe 150-180 pounds of fuel in a partially full tank slamming fore and aft.

BTW, it's braking, not breaking (sic). On the other hand, maybe it is breaking!

I can't spell worth crap! lol Thanks for the replys guys! I don't usually have road rage to often but today this old man in front of me was just pushing my buttons a little to much today. I'm glad nothing is wrong with the truck, just how I drive!

What makes that bang though from the back end? Is it the drive shaft or something?

I had something pretty close to that happen.......no road rage, just the bang. Come to find out that what i was feeling was the converter loading up......I would get on it, then suddenly have to stomp on the brakes... the coverter was still loaded waiting for take off. When I stepped on the gas "BANG".
The first time it happened I got out and checked the truck. I thought I broke something.
I try not to do that any more.

Take it to the dealer and describe what happened (the big banging sound) so a mechanic can test drive it and see if (the big banging sound) can be duplicated again. There might be something loose somewhere. It should be covered under warranty.
