Maintenance Free with "Saver"

On my sticker the battery is described as "Maint Free Battery W/Saver". What is saver? THANKS, MH

I also have the 130 Amp alternator. (Tow package);) ;)

Saver refers to the battery saver feature that is built into all our trucks. If you should leave your headlights on or interior lights, this feature will turn them off to prevent the battery from going dead.

It's designed to ensure that there is always enough power left to start the engine. :beers:

Just like the radio, if you turn your car off eventually the radio will shut off without opening the door.

I second the thanks on that Tbird...

I had seen this on my window sticker as well and had wondered exactly what it meant.

Saver

I thought it meant my battery could be used a floatation device if I drove into the water.

I'm just glad I found out before I tried it and ended up clutching my battery at the bottom of a lake.:D
